Chasing the Light in Moscow: Unlocking New Opportunities at the 2025 Russian Medical Exhibition

From December 8 to 11, 2025, the Russia International Medical Exhibition will kick off at the Crocus Expo Centre in Moscow. With half a century of industry heritage, this grand event has become a core hub connecting the global medical industry with the East European and Central Asian markets. As the most influential medical trade benchmark in the region, the exhibition is not only a stage for technological display but also a golden window for Chinese medical enterprises to explore overseas markets.

Hosted jointly by the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health, the exhibition enjoys strong government backing. Its outcomes directly link to national medical procurement projects, providing participating enterprises with precise policy interpretation and business matching services. Covering 20,000 square meters, the exhibition area will gather over 1,200 enterprises from nearly 20 countries worldwide, attracting more than 30,000 professional visitors with massive procurement demands. Exhibits spanning the entire industrial chain—from diagnostic equipment and rehabilitation devices to medical consumables—will be showcased centrally. More than 80 professional forums held concurrently will bring together experts from various countries to interpret cutting-edge industry trends.

Currently, imports account for over 70% of the Russian medical device market. The market gap left by the withdrawal of European and American brands has created unique opportunities for Chinese enterprises. Chinese-manufactured products such as ultrasonic diagnostic equipment and disposable consumables have gained great popularity locally due to their high cost-performance ratio. In previous exhibitions, Chinese delegations have repeatedly set new records in signed contracts; in 2024, the China National Pavilion facilitated intentional agreements exceeding 230 million yuan, demonstrating enormous market potential.

For enterprises about to participate, this event is both a platform to showcase technological strength and an opportunity to deepen their presence in the local market. By seizing the window of EAEU and local RZN registration policies, and leveraging the customized services of the "China-Russia Medical Cooperation Zone," Chinese medical enterprises are expected to seize the initiative in this dynamic market and write a new chapter in international cooperation.
